Meetings Dates: February 12- Dante met with Dr. Ba and his team to discuss Optimus's goals and some next steps to work on in addressing them.
Goal 2: Optimus Healthcare will increase overall PrEP Rx by 25% by the end of the reporting period.
This Month's Action Steps:
Dante will be coordinating a meeting with Dr. Casey Godshall (UCONN) to meet with Dr. Ba about establishing a new PrEP Program. Dr. Godshall is responsible for establishing UCONN's PrEP Program. He will recommend we meet during Dante's follow-up 1-on-1 meeting with Dr. Ba set for 2/27/26.
Goal 3: Optimus Healthcare will train two providers focused on HIV RW Care through monthly, virtual trainings by the end of the reporting period.
This Month's Action Steps:
K Milner is a medical provider at Optimus who now attends our virtual trainings. Dr. Ba plans to invite at least one more provider to attend and claim CME. Dante followed up today's meeting with a summary via email, which included links to the next upcoming virtual trainings, as well as links for providers to sign up to Yale's CME program. Dr. Ba will share the information with more providers at their Stamford location.
Goal 4: Optimus Healthcare will focus on mental health support to the Case Management team.
This Month's Action Steps:
Dante confirmed an in-person Mind Matters touch-base session with the PT team for April 17, 2026, at 1 pm. In the meantime, the team will continue to conduct a monthly assessment to identify key mental health support area needs and link staff to additional resources as needed. Dante also included the link to this survey in his meeting summary to the team.
Goal 5: Optimus Healthcare will increase syphilis testing for PWH by 25% by the end of the reporting period.
This Month's Action Steps:
Dante informed the team that he will be developing a draft health promotions campaign for patients explaining the importance of syphilis testing. He will send the draft to them no later than 1 week prior to our March meeting (on 3/5), for their review and feedback on the document. The next month's meeting scheduled for 3/12 will be primarily dedicated to reviewing this new brochure.
