Title: Treatment and Prevention of TB in People Living with HIV

Brief Description: This presentation will describe recent updates on the global and U.S. epidemiology of tuberculosis, unique clinical features of HIV-related tuberculosis in people living with HIV, provide updates on diagnostic testing and recommended regimens for treatment of latent TB in people with HIV, and summarize current approaches for treatment of TB, both drug-susceptible and drug-resistant TB, with a focus on new recommendations that highlight shorter course treatment regimens and antiretroviral drugs that can be safely used with anti-TB drugs. New TB data from the recent Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections will also be discussed.
