The CT HIV Planning Consortium (CHPC) is a collaborative body focused on addressing the HIV epidemic through coordinated efforts in prevention, care, and support across the state of Connecticut. Comprised of community members, healthcare providers, and public health officials, the consortium meets monthly to ensure that all voices are represented in decision-making processes. CHPC aims to improve health outcomes by promoting innovative strategies, resource sharing, education, and advocacy.
This month will feature the presentation, Intimate Partner Violence, presented by Dr. Tami Sullivan from Yale University's School of Medicine.
The presentation's objectives include:
1. Identify signs of various forms of intimate partner violence (IPV)
2. Describe the extent to which IPV may impact patients’ abilities to engage in care and follow through with treatment recommendations
3. Create a context/environment that supports the engagement of victims of IPV
All sessions provided in the CT HIV Planning Consortium are CME-accredited. For more information, please reach out Dante Gennaro, Program Director of the NEAETC's Connecticut Local Partner site at Yale University.
