This event is sponsored by the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Brown University AIDS Program and Lifespan. Topics include substance use, sexual health, and mental health. Speakers are experts from across Rhode Island in their respective fields.
Learning Objectives:
- Review the epidemiology and surveillance of public health diseases in Rhode Island.

Discuss challenges addressing public health in Rhode Island.
- Identify public health interventions and approaches to addressing public health in Rhode Island related to substance use, sexual health, mental health, and infectious diseases.
Continuing Education:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. The Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This is an application-based activity.
Physicians: Rhode Island Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participations in this activity.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PHARMACY CE CREDIT:
Pharmacists must pre-register at https://www.neaetc.org/events/view/26041. No partial credit is available; pharmacists must be present for the entire educational activity to claim credit. A program evaluation must be completed at www.uripharmacycpd.org within 60 days of the live program date (3/22/2024) in order to receive CE credit. CE credit will be transferred to the CPE Monitor upon successful completion of the program evaluation. Transfer of CE credit should be verified at mycpemonitor.net where CE statements are available to print. Please refer to the evaluation instructions that follow for completing program evaluations and reporting CE credit.
