Recording: More Than Health Care Series
The More Than Health Care series focuses on the intersection of treating substance use, HIV, and hepatitis C, as well as utilizing proven clinical and social strategies to improve quality of life. Experts from across Massachusetts present on PrEP, treatment and support strategies in rural areas, harm reduction, mental health for both patients and caregivers, civil rights and legal protections, laws and regulations in MA, patient advocacy, care for incarcerated individuals and systems of care post-release, and the role of the community health worker.
The target audience for this series is providers, service providers, and community health workers who treat, counsel, or provide services to people who inject drugs and people with substance use disorder.
CME Information
This enduring series is presented in 5 video recordings of past webinars. During the accreditation period, July 2021 - June 2024, participants must:
1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures outlined in the "materials" section;
2) study the education activity, and are expected to view all 5 segments, totaling 8 hours, to successfully complete the activity and earn CME credit;
3) complete the evaluation form and post-test found in the materials section;
4) score 100% on the post-test
5) print out the CME certificate which will be emailed to you by UMass Chan Medical School Office of CME
The estimated time to complete this activity is 8 hours, broken down into 5 video segments each between 1.5 and 2 hours in length. Accreditation terminates on June 30th, 2024. After that date, this recording will no longer be eligible for CME or CEU credit.
