Description:
This webinar provides a brief overview of stimulant use and stimulant use disorder in PWH and evidence of health threats from cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neurological comorbidities with stimulant use. Interventions with efficacy that reduce methamphetamine use including pharmacotherapies, contingency management and other behavioral therapies are presented with considerations for their use in busy infectious disease settings. Whole person strategies that address ways to bridge across silos of care for infectious diseases, addictions, mental health, and social determinants of health are discussed.
