Associate Professor of Medicine (AIDS) and of Pharmacology
Brief Description:
Long-acting antiretrovirals are now becoming mainstream for the management of people with HIV who are virologically suppressed or for those with drug resistance and limited treatment options. Furthermore, long-acting ART has shown promise to improve treatment outcomes for individuals struggling with adherence to daily oral ART. Data on the currently approved long-acting ART for HIV treatment along with real-world evidence and implementation challenges will be the focus of this lecture.
