Title: PrEP and Case Presentation/Discussion
Presented by: Bryan Marsh, MD
Brief Description: Dr. Marsh will give a comprehensive overview of PrEP in 2023, including the new injectable. He will discuss indications, pre-PrEP assessments, monitoring and patient education.

Brittany Coleman, RN, will review a scenario of a recent patient and will lead a discussion about the issues raised in this situation.
CoP2: December 14, 2023
Title: Learning from Recent Patient Scenarios-HIV Case O'Rama
Presenters: Lynette Johnson, Aubrey Byron, Maka Kuada
Discussant: Betsy Eccles
Brief Description: Presentation of three complex cases including pregnancy in HIV, social determinants of health, adherence, and substance use in the patient with psychosocial needs. We will review resources available, strategies for adherence, motivational interviewing techniques, nursing interventions and patient outcomes. For each case, there will be a didactic presentation reviewing pertinent clinical information related to the case.

Title: Getting a handle on HRSA HIV Standards and How They Can Drive Quality Improvement Projects
Presenter: Betsy Eccles, RN
Brief Description:
HRSA standards will be reviewed and discussion of how the information can be used on a national, regional, and program level.
Case Presentations and Discussion Presenters: Aubrey Byron, RN and Lynette Johnson, RN
Brief Description: Two clinical cases will be presented highlighting people with HIV embarking on international travel. Lynette and Aubrey will discuss relevant aspects of travel health care to help insure safe travel for our patients with HIV infection.

Title: Treating HCV in the HIV Clinic
Presenter: David de Gijsel, MD
Brief Description: Dr. de Gijsel will discuss HCV treatment including reviewing the simplified HCV treatment guidelines and special considerations for patients living with HIV.
Case Presentations and Discussion Presenter: Brittany L. Garber, RN
Brief Description: Brittany Garber will lead a case discussion after presenting a patient who is re-entering care. A myriad of clinical and psychosocial elements will be discussed.
CoP5: March 22, 2024
Title: HIV and Malignancies
Presented by: Betsy Eccles, MS, RN
Brief Description: A review of HIV and malignancies. Screening recommendations will be reviewed.
Case Presentations and Discussion Presenter: Maka Kuada, MD & Thomas McMahon, RN
Brief Description: Maka Kuada will present a case that highlights the impact of psychosocial issues that challenge successful engagement in HIV care. There will be a discussion of possible strategies to address these issues. Tom McMahon will present and discuss an unusual test result.

Brief Description: Dr. DeGijsel will give an overview of trends in street drug use in the NH/VT region, what is being used and how, and harm reduction and treatment strategies that may be effective

Brief Description: Aubrey will present two recent patient scenarios relating to syphilis. She will review screening results and treatment plan.
