World AIDS Day is Monday, December 1st! Join AIDS Project Rhode Island (APRI) as they promote awareness and recognize the contributions of individuals in our community who have had a significant impact on the fight against HIV/AIDS.
This year’s Red Ribbon Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 6-10pm at the RI Convention Center in
This year’s honorees include:
Stephen Hourahan- Richard Katzoff Leadership Service Award
Dr. Lynn Taylor- Dr. Alvan Fisher Medical Service Award
Jean Dupre- Maggie Valentine Volunteer Service Award
David Tetreault- Maggie Valentine Volunteer Service Award
Imperial Court of RI- Community Partner Award
Rep. Eileen Naughton- Advocacy Award
This fundraiser for AIDS Project RI celebrating these successes begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails. Guests will be welcomed to dinner by the harmonic sounds of the Providence Gay Men’s Chorus and visuals provided by AIDS Quilt RI. The awards ceremony will follow dinner and this event will also feature a live auction and dancing to end the evening.
In support of this year’s Red Ribbon Community Service Awards Dinner, we are assembling a souvenir program book, which among other things provides you with the opportunity to recognize the achievements of our honorees while also supporting the continuing fight against HIV in We are also offering sponsorship opportunities at many different levels so that you may show your support and help to make this event a success.
