Please join the New England AIDS Education and Training Center (NEAETC) and Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) for a virtual webinar to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the provision of HIV health care services. The webinar will provide a peer-to-peer learning forum for a diverse panel of providers and implementers to discuss best practices and resources for maintaining continuity of care for persons with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This webinar is intended for multi-disciplinary HIV care providers working in health care settings, health departments and community-based organizations in the northeast region of the U.S. as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The first 60 minutes will cover the experience of the panel participants as well the opportunities for technical assistance. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be available for those who need it. The presentation will be followed by an informal 30-minute question and answer session.
Objectives include:
1) Review Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Clinical Guidelines for COVID-19 and HIV Care
2) Provide three COVID-19 and HIV-related resources that are dynamically responding to the evolving science and recommendations
3) Create a space for participants to discuss at least three challenges and best practices
Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Massachusetts Medical School Office of Continuing Medical Education and New England AIDS Education and Training Center. The UMMS-OCME is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation Statement: The University of Massachusetts Medical School designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses: Under the auspices of the New England AIDS Education & Training Center, this offering meets the requirements for a maximum of 1.2 contact hours, as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (244-CMR 5.04). Each nurse should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
