We are a network of HIV specialists and primary care clinicians who provide collegial support and expertise to one another, enhancing and advancing care for persons with HIV disease in their communities.

Participants are invited to bring cases from their own practices for discussion.

At the completion of this program participants should be able to:

  • Relate postulated mechanisms of CVD development  to features of HIV disease.
  • Assess patients’ risk for CVD using both standard and HIV-related factors.
  • Apply best practice guidelines to the clinical management of CVD co-morbidities in presence of HIV infection.

Nurses: Under the auspices of the New England AIDS Education & Training Center, this offering meets the requirements for a maximum of 1.2 contact hours, as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (244-CMR 5.04). Each nurse should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
