We are a network of HIV specialists and primary care clinicians who provide collegial support and expertise to one another, enhancing and advancing care for persons with HIV disease in their communities.
Participants are invited to bring cases from their own practices for discussion.
At the completion of this program participants should be able to:
- Apply advances in the understanding of HIV viral biology and life cycle to current and proposed treatment strategies for HIV disease
- Integrate new findings from select clinical trials regarding the treatment of opportunistic infections, malignancies and significant co-infection in the HIV infected
- Strategize the integration of newer HIV prevention methodologies into clinical care for women, MSM and other special populations
